Legal Music Downloads
I can still recall back in the day when the whole Napster thing began. I am not going to lie to you; this was sort of the bomb.
Suddenly anyone and everyone with a computer and Internet access could get their hands on free tunes. No questions asked. It was all about the shareware.
Of course this eventually came to an end after a major court hearing and a lot of ruckus from musicians. I knew it was too good to be true.
However, the concept of legal music downloads was soon in order. Suddenly we could purchase songs online from any artist or band. It was great and virtually everyone still takes advantage of it.
The big pitch was that you could buy a mere song, as opposed to purchasing the entire album. Because let's face it, we don't always like the entire album. It was basically a new-age win-win situation. Let's all give a big applause to legal music downloads.
Probably the most amusing aspect of the shareware dilemma with Napster was the public's mentality on the issue. Okay, so Napster did not provide legal music downloads, but most folks plain and simply didn't care.
In fact, when all the musicians came forward and said "Hey, we worked hard on that music, so you should pay for it" most people laughed. It seemed that the general, working-class public couldn't find it in their hearts to feel bad for some rich musicians.
Go figure. Anyway, the court did rule against Napster and the musicians won. This was certainly to be expected. Not that Napster is gone; because it isn't. You can still pull up the site; however, now it provides legal music downloads for a cost. It's pretty much like ITunes and the others.
Are you interested in legal music downloads, or do you still prefer the free ones? Okay, that was just a little joke. As many people already know, shareware is definitely not a thing of the past by any means.
The Internet still provides, and always will provide, free downloads. It's just the way things are. It's sort of like gun laws. They're useless because the people who should not have the guns will always get them some way or another.
That's just life. Anyway, you can certainly access some legal music downloads by going to ITunes on the World-Wide-Web. Get the songs you want, and get them fast.
